Locates are not paperwork. They are survival.

Every successful bore starts before the drill ever turns. A locate ticket is the beginning of the safety process—not a substitute for field verification, potholing, communication, and good judgment.

Before production takes priority:

• Confirm the ticket and work limits

• Walk the route and look for conflicts the marks may not explain

• Expose and verify crossings as required

• Protect and refresh fading marks

• Stop when field conditions do not match the plan

• Keep the crew informed when anything changes

No footage or deadline is worth striking a utility or sending someone home hurt.
